DİCK’S ROCK:

This diving spot was found by Dutch Dick, who once ran a Diving Centre in Datça and was known by this name. In 2018, the name was changed with the Picket Type Coast Guard Shipwreck sunk.

It is located close to Aquarium Bay, a little off the shore, the top is 13 m deep and the top is a little narrower than the bottom. There is a vault here. Towards the open, the depth decreases to 35 m and the sand begins. When the reef is viewed from above, it has the shape of a light bulb tilted on its side. The east side of the reef is wall-like.

There is a 14 m long SG wreck at the extreme point of the reef close to the land. The bottom of the wreck is 18 metres deep. Two doors in the wheelhouse are open. It is possible to cross the reef.

Here we start the dive by landing directly on the reef. We first dive in the direction of land and then continue diving towards the north of the reef by taking the rocky area to the left arm. There is a small reef at a point close to the reef at a depth of 18 m towards the north of the reef. After visiting this rocky area, we come back to the upper end of the reef and visit the wreck. After the wreck dive is completed, we come back to the reef and exit to our boat from the vault rope.
